1 second later, the dog pissed on my shoe. We had a laugh, and he ran off to grab a half-eaten taco.

(Last one's not serious..... ) I just need a general view of what people would be willing to pay for Pocky. By 1 packet, it's 1 bag you'd get inside a box of Pocky, which usually comes with 2 bags. There's a Marukai market in Little Tokyo I frequent VERY often (UCC Coffee for 69 cents a can!? Hell yeah!) and they have a giant superpack of Pocky, about 24 bags if I'm not mistaken for around $12 or even less. So that's .50 per bag to break even exactly. Now, right now this was originally a plan for AX because I wanted to 1-up the jerks who charge $2/box for regular Pocky when I can get a box at Marukai for 89 cents or so. But this also might work at school, and with VC having trips (And Belmar selling *ZOMG HUEG* Pixi Stix) I figured this could work for VC as well. So please tell me what you think, because I don't get a lot of money from work, so even $12 and not earning even a slight profit is pretty lame. Thanks in advance. Victor Aquino "fetus" P.S.: I'm the guy with the backwards cap that hangs with Cozmo and Tyler, you know, the one who always makes stupid remarks during presentations. EDIT: Damn, mispelled Pocky in the poll. Must've been thinking about Hockey. "Oui Oui Oui! I love ze hockey!"

The most I would pay is a dollar, but I'm leaning towards 50 cents, you know two for one. And I would do anything for pocky

I'd take that as about 50 cents to 75 then.

*stuffing box in backpack* 'kay theres the box, you'll get it tommorow ------------------------------------------------------- lets see... pocky eh? well that would be pretty nice to sell except that average price would probably be 50-75cents a bag cause a dollar seems to be pushing it. Oh and just incase anyone was wondering, I don't sell pocky because I'm familiar with it, its uhm, hard to handle (breaks easily, melts together, etc.) and almost everyone prefers to eat it while the stick is still a stick and not chocolately crumbs (not that theres anything wrong with crumbs) but for conventions I'm all up for it. Actually I had this in mind a while ago after I saw this girl in this ingenius cosplay idea where she was a booth babe and sold pocky for donations (those huge single pocky sticks that are like half the size of my pixie stix but still huge for a pocky). I've been looking for these giant pocky but I can't find them and I know they would sell better than single packets of what appear to be open box pocky (although the pocky would still sell depending on the marketing strategy used). Uhm, yeah. Oh and we need to get our convention seller to be a girl and wear this for added effect and customers : ) (Don't ask what I was searching for when I found this because I can't remember) d2r.org/images/costumes/lainey/pockygirl.shtmlcgi.ebay.com/JAPANESE-SNACK-POCKY-GIRL-GLICO-ANIME-COSPLAY-COSTUME_W0QQitemZ6007332669QQcategoryZ1345QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Gasp! Pocky Race Queen?
Anyways...alright, so the general consensus is 50 cents to 75. 50 cents would be useless since that's how much it'd cost me (and with tax, money would be lost). 75 seems right. Seeing that the point is to upstage the exhibit hall vendors with their $2 price for 1 box of regular ol' Pocky, so 75 cents for one bag = $1.50 for 2 bags, exactly what 1 box comes with.
Now, as for getting it sold. I'm not sure if the ACC has a problem with street vendors, especially ones without vending permits. If it does, it could be a big problem. And selling out of the hotel room is not only going to be 1 step above complete failure, it's also going to be a hassle for others in the room when people come at 1 in the morning to get their Pocky fix. Now, if I can get it past ACC staff, I might be able to sell it without suspicion during Expo days. Hell, my friend managed to keep an actual sword with her for a good 30-45 minutes in the Exhibit Hall until finally a staff member noticed and began to escort us out until the comotion began at the ADV booth with their prize giveaway, and we were back to normal.
Oh, and BTW Belmar, I know several places near my house that sell Giant Pocky.

I think they might have a problem with it but try to find a way to integrate the pocky theme with your costume and I guess it would be a way to get around that rule. And selling out of the hotel room is not only going to be 1 step above complete failure, it's also going to be a hassle for others in the room when people come at 1 in the morning to get their Pocky fix. We can deliver it, delivery fees apply of course. Oh, and BTW Belmar, I know several places near my house that sell Giant Pocky. Gimme!
